Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. – James 4:8
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. — Phil. 4:6-7
Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. It is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility, and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the needful practice of the Christian. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Your requests will be forwarded to those church members who are currently part of our prayer chain. We are always encouraged when we hear how God has answered your prayers. Please feel free to share and we will be happy to pass those along as well.
School of Prayer
Do you ever wonder if your prayers are effective? Do you wonder if you are truly hearing God? Do you feel as if your life is so busy you might not be praying enough? Do you have trouble praying for or with others? Then our School of Prayer is for you. We will look at these hard questions and others on Saturday, February 21st from 10:00am– 3 :00pm in room 600. Lunch will be provided, there will NOT be childcare available.
Opportunities To Serve Through Prayer
Prayer is the glue that holds everything together. We believe that everything that we do for God should be covered and undergirded with Prayer. Jesus spent many hours in prayer as he lived his life here on the Earth. We should follow His example!
