Technical Arts Director
Pure Heart Christian Fellowship
Definition of Work
This Full Time position is responsible to minister to the body of Pure Heart Christian Fellowship and other audiences through electronic media including video/television, radio, and web based media to advance the church’s vision at Pure Heart Christian Fellowship.
Scope
This position requires producing short-form video and broadcast program material that fits the mission of the ministry. Regular tasks include meeting with staff, developing concepts, writing copy, working with production support, directing field shoots, conducting interviews, and editing/post production as needed. Other tasks include both hands-on work and oversight in several areas as needed for weekend services (Technical Director, recruitment, audio, & lighting).
Reports to Associate Pastor of Worship and Arts
Skills and Job Requirements
- Degree in Video Production or 3 years minimum equivalent on the job experience.
- Proficient in Final Cut Studio, Adobe CS5 (Premier, After Effects, Photoshop), Macromedia Tools (Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash).
- Proficient on MAC and PC.
- Know and have experience with all facets of production including creative process, scriptwriting, producing, shooting, audio, graphics, and editing.
- Knowledgeable in moving graphics software and techniques, and stays current with design trends.
- Work with producers, videographers, editors, lighting directors, craft services, talent and crew.
- Research production and equipment needs and then develop scope and budget projections.
- Maintain mastering, duplication, and archiving of a finished project.
- Maintain records on all projects.

- Able to work with Information Technologies (Mac & PC)
- Maintain Web Site (WordPress currently)
- Active Directory Network on campus
- Results oriented, intelligent, well rounded, adaptable to frequent changes and able to produce high quality work under pressure
- Ability to see a production project through from conception to completion
- Creative, conceptual thinker, able to see ideas through to completion in a rapidly changing environment.
- Manage time and schedules well, and meet deadlines consistently. Capable of handling several tasks at once with thorough follow through.
- Maintain a flexible spirit in order to change tasks quickly at the director’s discretion.
- Good interpersonal skills for relating effectively with staff members, leadership, volunteers, and outside vendors.
- Great communication skills – verbal and written.
- Able to work creatively with limited resources.
- Able to commit to the core values and belief of Pure Heart Christian Fellowship and adhere to those values in the assigned projects.
