“Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it.” – Muhammad Ali
I was 26 years old. My wife and I had only been married a short time, but it was enough time to have grown apart. A failed change in careers, no college degree, and very few friends let the dark blanket of depression cover me. I knew Jesus but allowed my circumstances to keep me at arms-length, and even used them to blame God at times. Something needed to change…but it felt impossible.
A few weeks later some guys from my church invited me to men’s weekend. The last thing I wanted was to spend a weekend with guys who seemed to always have the answer & were more ‘spiritually mature’ than me. It sounded boring, dull, and dumb. The weekend was nothing like I imagined! We spent the whole weekend hiking, laughing, playing poker, and building lasting friendships. I discovered something I desperately needed – brothers. Men who would challenge me to grow in faith, to step-up as a husband and eventual father, and to claim God’s truth that through Him ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
Maybe you are experiencing something similar or have a friend, father, or son who is. Perhaps you have attended dozens of men’s retreats & conferences in the past but really don’t know any men sitting in church with you. This November 2 -4 we launch a NEW kind of men’s event: Man Camp.
The heart behind Man Camp is to gather men of EVERY age for an incredible, FUN, relaxed weekend focused on camaraderie through games & friendly competitions. We will intentionally have plenty of time for guys to hike, fish, target practice, or just hangout! And on Saturday we’ll have next-level Worship experiences led by Pastor Zach Bloom along with special guest Pastor Tom Moffett. Tom is a dynamic speaker, father, mentor, leader, and will bring his ex-NFL experience to breathe life & confidence into the hearts of men!!
I truly hope you will join me this November for a life-changing weekend full of POSSIBILITIES!
