Love Our Schools Day is back!!  Mark your calendars for September 29th!! This is a day where we get the opportunity to give back to our local schools and invest in our teachers, school staff, and students by doing different community projects on the campus’ of these schools!

Here is the list of the schools and projects that we will be doing this year.  We have family friendly projects, a few age 12 and up projects, indoor projects, as well as some outdoor projects.  Take a look through our list and see what fits best for you and your friends and family!

Arroyo Elementary School – Help load and unload items for a Goodwill drive. Donate your own items for a fun, easy fundraiser for the school. Family Friendly project.

Cactus Wren Elementary School – “Adopt” a teacher and assist them with various projects.  Projects could include cutting out materials, stapling projects together, putting craft kits together. Family friendly project.

Canyon Elementary School – Show the nurses office some love by decorating, organizing & cleaning. Family friendly project.  Or, decorate the bathrooms with inspirational quotes. Painters/artistic skills needed. (12 years and older)

Chaparral Elementary School – Spruce up the playgrounds by adding some painted games on the concrete areas where children play. Painters/artistic skills needed. (12 years and older). Or, cleaning of classrooms and library. Family Friendly project.

Maryland School – Planting a butterfly garden, weed wacking, cleaning door handles & handrails. Family Friendly project.

Peralta School – Painting inspirational quotes in the boys and girls bathrooms. Painters/artistic skills needed. (12 years and older)

Sahuaro Elementary School – Decorate the bathrooms with inspirational quotes. Painters/artistic skills needed. (12 years and older)

Sunburst Elementary School – General landscaping. Family Friendly project.

Tumbleweed Elementary School – Work in the community garden, fix and add the drip system. Family Friendly project. Paint parking spot labels, kindergarden line up lines, hopscotch, and 4 square lines. Painters/artistic skills needed. (12 years and older)

Student Appreciation Cards (Pure Heart Campus) – Help write encourging messages to kids for testing days and days when kids are having a hard time. Family Friendly project.

You will be meeting your project leader and team at Pure Heart at 7:45 am to be briefed on your projects details, pray together, and then head out to the schools!  Projects will end no later than 12 pm.

Please join us as we go out into our community and serve our local schools together!  This is a great opportunity to meet new people as well as being the hands and feet of Jesus!  We can’t wait to see you there!
