January 30th – 1 Timothy 2:1-2
1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. (NKJV) For further study, 1 Timothy 2
Prayer Focus: Father, I know that I need to pray and intercede for others and I don’t do this as much as I should. Please forgive me and help me make the time I need to do this. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
January 31st – 2 Chronicles 20:3
3 And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. (NKJV) For further study, 2 Chronicles 20
Prayer Focus: God, I know that fasting is something that I need to do more of please help me to discipline myself and fast the way that I should. I ask this in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.
February 1st – 2 Timothy 2:15
15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (KJV) For further study, 2 Timothy 2
Prayer Focus: Heavenly Father, I need to study and spend more time in Your word. Please give me a hunger for Your word, help me to study so I will not be ashamed. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
February 2nd – Proverbs 20:13
13 Do not love sleep, lest you come to poverty; open your eyes, and you will be satisfied with bread. (NKJV) For further study, Proverbs 20
Prayer Focus: Lord, please show me if I have given myself over to sleep or being lazy. Help me not to become lazy in any area of my life. I pray this in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.
February 3rd – Leviticus 23:3
3 ‘Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings’. (NKJV) For further study, Leviticus 23
Prayer Focus: Father in Heaven, I realize that I need a day to rest from work and spend with You. Forgive me; I do not always rest and seek You as I should. Please help me do this. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
February 4th – Mark 1:35
35 Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. (NKJV) For further study, Mark 1
Prayer Focus: Lord God, I need to start everyday alone with You before I go out into the world. Help me develop this as part of my life and who I am. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
February 5th – Ephesians 5:17-18
17 Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but ever be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit. (AMP) For further study, Ephesians 5
Prayer Focus: Lord, help me grasp Your will and be continually filled with Your Holy Spirit that he may lead me and guide me through every day of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
