January 23^rd – 1 Timothy 4:7-8
7 But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. 8 For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. (NKJV) For further study, 1 Timothy 4

Prayer Focus: Father, I know I need to spend more time perfecting godliness in my life, please help me. If I do not exercise my body enough please help me to be disciplined and exercise more. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

January 24^th – 1 Corinthians 9:26-27
26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. (NKJV) For further study, 1 Corinthians 9

Prayer Focus: Lord, help me discipline my body and bring its desires into subjection to Your will for my life. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

January 25^th – 1 Timothy 2:9-10
9 Also [I desire] that women should adorn themselves modestly and appropriately and sensibly in seemly apparel, not with [elaborate] hair arrangement or gold or pearls or expensive clothing, 10 But by doing good deeds (deeds in themselves good and for the good and advantage of those contacted by them), as befits women who profess reverential fear for and devotion to God. (AMP) For further study, 1 Timothy 2

Prayer Focus: God, help us as a nation learn to honor women that as Your word says, “adorn themselves modestly and by doing good deeds”. May we respect and value them as we ought to. In the name of Your Son Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

January 26^th – 1 Chronicles 16:28-29
28 Give to the LORD, O families of the peoples, give to the LORD glory and strength. 29 Give to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness! (NKJV) For further study, 1 Chronicles 16

Prayer Focus: Heavenly Father, help me to learn how to truly worship You in the holiness that You deserve. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

January 27^th – Proverbs 31:30
30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. (NKJV) For further study, Proverbs 31

Prayer Focus: Lord, help me to see and praise those women that fear You and serve You as they should. In the name of Jesus Your Son I pray. Amen.

January 28^th – Matthew 23:27-28
27 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. 28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. (NKJV) For further study, Matthew 23

Prayer Focus: God, please bring into my life the inner beauty that comes from a close relationship with You, establish Your inner beauty in me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

January 29^th – 2 Timothy 2:19-23
19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity." 20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. 21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. 22 Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23 But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. Prayer Focus: Father, show me any iniquity in my life and lead me out of it. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
