November 21st – Matthew 5:29-30
29 If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. (NKJV) For further study, Matthew 5
Prayer Focus: God, please give me the strength and resolve to cast off anything in my life that would be offensive to You. I want to be clean in Your eyes and ready to meet You when I am done with this life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
November 22nd – Ephesians 5:8-11
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. (NKJV) For further study, Ephesians 5
Prayer Focus: Father God, I ask You to fill me with Your Holy Spirit and power so that I will be able to walk in the light as I should, having no fellowship with darkness and exposing evil works. In the name of Jesus Christ Your Son I pray. Amen.
November 23rd – Romans 1:28
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting. (NKJV) For further study, Romans 1
Prayer Focus: God, I ask that You show me anything in my life that is “not fitting” in Your eyes and please empower me to get rid of it. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray this. Amen.
November 24th – Proverbs 15:9-11
9 The way of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But He loves him who follows righteousness. 10 Harsh discipline is for him who forsakes the way, and he who hates correction will die. 11 Hell and destruction are before the LORD; so how much more the hearts of the sons of men. (NKJV) For further study, Proverbs 15
Prayer Focus: Lord, help me to be teachable and to love the way of righteousness. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
November 25th – 1 Thessalonians 4:7-8
7 For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. 8 Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit. (NKJV) For further study, 1 Thessalonians 4
Prayer Focus: Father, forgive me for the times I have rejected Your Spirit’s leading and stayed in my uncleanness. Change that in my life. I give You permission to change me so that all uncleanness would be gone from my life. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
November 26th – Mark 9:47-48
47 And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire – 48 where ‘Their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’ (NKJV) For further study, Mark 9
Prayer Focus: God, I don’t want to see anyone end up in hell. Show me how to lead others to Christ, and help me “pluck out” anything in my life that is not of You. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
November 27th – Revelation 21:7-8
7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. 8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (NKJV) For further study, Revelation 21
Prayer Focus: Heavenly Father, please help me to be one that overcomes. Lord, help me put away all things that offend You. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
