October 24th – Luke 24:46-47
46 Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, 47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. (NKJV) For further study, Luke 24
Prayer Focus: Lord God, please show me what I should be doing here in Phoenix, Arizona in reaching out to the lost and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. I pray this in the name of Your Son Jesus. Amen.
October 25th – Acts 1:8
8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (NKJV) For further study, Acts 1
Prayer Focus: Heavenly Father, I sometimes feel that I don’t do enough and I don’t feel I have the power that I need to share the gospel. Help me to accept the power You have through the Holy Spirit to share the gospel. I ask this in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.
October 26th – Acts 6:7
7 Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith. (NKJV) For further study, Acts 6
Prayer Focus: God, I pray for the Jewish people that live here in the Phoenix area, I ask that the “Vail” that covers their eyes spiritually would be removed and that they would come to know Jesus Christ as Messiah and Savior. In Jesus’ name I pray this. Amen.
October 27th – Mark 6:10-12
10 Also He said to them, “In whatever place you enter a house, stay there till you depart from that place. 11 And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!” 12 So they went out and preached that people should repent. (NKJV) For further study, Mark 6
Prayer Focus: Father, I ask You to please help me to be ready to share the gospel in a way that people would repent and turn to You Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
October 28th – Acts 2:46-3:1
46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. (NKJV) For further study, Acts 2
Prayer Focus: God, I pray that all that come to Pure Heart would come together in unity in a way that pleases You and allows Your love and power to flow into this community, that You would add many to the church as You did in Your Word. I ask this in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.
October 29th – Acts 9:17 & 20
17 And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 20 Immediately he preached the Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God. (NKJV) For further study, Acts 9
Prayer Focus: Lord, I want what Saul (Paul) had, please fill me with Your Holy Spirit as You filled Saul (Paul) so I can share Christ as I should. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
October 30th – Acts 16:31-33
31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized. (NKJV) For further study, Acts 16
Prayer Focus: Father, sometimes it seems the hardest to share the gospel with my family members and they are the very people that I love the most and want to see come to know Jesus Christ. Lord, please teach me to share in a way through my words or actions that will lead them to Jesus Christ. Father, help me to lead them to Christ or send someone that they will hear to share the gospel. Please save my family. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray this. Amen.
