AWANA Orientation Night: Wednesday, September 7th from 6:30 – 8:00pm, room 220 (upstairs, bldg. 200). AWANA Clubs are a great opportunity for children to learn the word of God and grow in their faith. Parents will receive their children’s materials or complete registrations. Introduction to the AWANA Clubs for new families and informative meeting to answer all your AWANA questions. Legacy’s Grandparent’s Day Breakfast Potluck: Sunday, September 11th, 9 AM in bldg 600. Join us for a morning of sharing and eating. Legacy ministry will provide drinks, utensils and paper products. Marriage Classes: Sundays at 9 & 11 AM in room 521. This Sunday, September 4th we will have a potluck brunch fellowship at 9 AM. Also, at 11 AM, join Don & Liz Moenich having round table discussions on marriage issues.
Upcoming Marriage Classes: September 11th Tom & Mandy Klein will begin a 3-week series: “Are you overwhelmed with anger in your marriage and is it taking over your life”. The Kleins will take us through the steps they took to heal their marriage and develop a better understanding of the magnitude anger has on our relationships. Groups include: Women’s Chemical Dependency, Men’s Chemical Dependency, Women’s Sexual Abuse, Codependency & Boundaries (men, women & couples), Men’s Sexual Healing. Children and Teen programs also available – The Landing: 6th grade – 12th grade, The Place: 1st grade – 5th grade. Childcare available for ages 0 – Kindergarten. All Foster & Adoptive Parents: The Foster/Adoptive Parent support group meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM. The group offers advice and support to any foster and adoptive parents. Meetings are informal sharing and discussion with friendship and snacks. Call Arlene, 602.488.8657.
Birthday Blessings: Volunteer to help with birthday parties for homeless children or donate party supplies. We are in need of small toys for game prizes, snacks, and items for goody bags. The children love the birthday parties and for some this is the only time they have celebrated their birthday with a party.
