August 22nd – 2 Corinthians 5:20
20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. (NKJV) For further study, 2 Corinthians 5
Prayer Focus: God, help me to be Your ambassador to show people all around me that there is hope and that Jesus is the way to You. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
August 23rd – 1 Corinthians 12:26-27
26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. (NKJV) For further study, 1 Corinthians 12
Prayer Focus: Lord, thank You that I’m a part of the body of Christ. Help me to be a blessing to everyone in the body of Christ, serving as You would have me serve. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
August 24th – Hebrews 3:14-15
14 For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, 15 while it is said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” (NKJV) For further study, Hebrews 3
Prayer Focus: Father, as a partaker of Christ I ask that my heart would be totally after You and not the things of the world. Help me in this, I’m weak in this area and need Your strength. I pray this in Your son Jesus’ name. Amen.
August 25th – 1 Peter 4:12-14
12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. 14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. (NKJV) For further study, 1 Peter 4
Prayer Focus: God, I see from this scripture that I will share in the suffering of Christ. Please help me to be strong and endure as I go through these sufferings, I need your strength to endure these things. I pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
August 26th – Galatians 3:28-29
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. (NKJV) For further study, Galatians 3
Prayer Focus: God, thank You for the equality we share in Jesus Christ. Thank You that we are now through Jesus Christ, Abraham’s seed and heirs to the promises of Abraham. Please help me walk in these blessings. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
August 27th – 1 Corinthians 2:15-16
15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. (NKJV) For further study, 1 Corinthians 2
Prayer Focus: Father, Your word says that I have the mind of Christ. Help me to follow the mind of Christ that is in me and not my flesh. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
August 28th – 1 Peter 2:9-10
9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. (NKJV) For further study, 1 Peter 2
Prayer Focus: Heavenly Father, help me to always praise You and share what You have done in my life. Teach me to be a priest in Your kingdom to help others find You and have a relationship with You. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
