August 15th – Genesis 1:27
27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. (NKJV) For further study, Genesis 1
Prayer Focus: God, we are created in Your image. May I be careful to live my life in a way that honors You and is helpful to others. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
August 16th – Romans 8:29
29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. (NKJV) For further study, Romans 8
Prayer Focus: Lord, continue to conform my mind, mouth, moods and attitudes to be like the image of Your Son Jesus Christ. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
August 17th – 1 Corinthians 11:7
7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. (NKJV) For further study, 1 Corinthians 11
Prayer Focus: Father, it amazes me that I am made in Your image, help me to grow worthy of that blessing. Thank You for sending Your Son Jesus Christ to make a way back to You from a life filled with sin. Please wash me clean daily. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
August 18th – 1 Corinthians 15:49
49 And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man. (NKJV) For further study, 1 Corinthians 15
Prayer Focus: Lord, change me from the image of an earthly man to the image of the one You sent from Heaven, Jesus Christ who is true, upright and Holy. Change me Lord. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
August 19th – Colossians 3:9-10
9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him. (NKJV) For further study, Colossians 3
Prayer Focus: God, I want to “put off the old man with his deeds”. Help me put off the old man and instead put on Jesus Christ until I am fully formed in His Image. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
August 20th – Romans 6:5
5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection. (NKJV) For further study, Romans 6
Prayer Focus: Lord God, set me free from ‘the old man” and all those things that bind me to him and not to You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
August 21st – 2 Corinthians 3:18
18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. (NKJV) For further study, 2 Corinthians 3 & 4
Prayer Focus: Heavenly Father, thank You for the transformation that Your Spirit is doing in my life. Help me to cooperate and grow strong so I will not be confused or deceived. Keep me in the truth. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
